This is a special training session followed by a nutritious brunch! Just what you need to kick off a great weekend!
SUITABLE FOR VARIOUS FITNESS LEVELS
The training session is specifically designed for a mixed ability group. This means that even though we will all train together, everyone will be able to decide how far and how fast they will run. The minimum requirement is that you are able to comfortably run 10min at an easy pace. This doesn’t mean that this session is only for beginners. If you are a more experienced runner you’ll benefit from the session too. Keep on reading!
DETAILS ABOUT THE RUNNING SESSION
This is not a continuous run, so if you are a beginner, don’t worry! There will be breaks to catch your breath and you won’t be left behind. If you are an experienced runner, don’t think that this will be a walk in the park for you though! The structure of the session will allow everyone to push out of their comfort zone at their own level.
The session will include:
– warm up including some drills to work on coordination and balance
– games to improve agility
– running of various set loops to improve speed and endurance
– cool down including stretching
LOCATION: Starting and finishing at Willow Bough Tea Rooms, Merton Park Parade, Wimbledon.
There will be a bit of running on the roads but the main training spots will be traffic free, located within John Innes Park and John Innes Recreation Ground.
